I've always wanted to be a writer.
Immigrant parents and grandparents support dreams that are inherently believed to supply six-figure incomes in exchange for a few years of classrooms and a degree...especially when your 'Mother's Land' is located in Southeast Asia. Immigrant parents and grandparents from Southeast Asia do not want children and grandchildren to aspire to be published unless it is in Medical or Law Journals...and later, maybe cookbooks produced by Oprah for her successful friends translated into Korean so they can pass them out at Prayer Meeting with a bookmark on your name. Immigrant parents and grandparents from Southeast Asia, specifically Korea, do not want children and grandchildren who do not aspire to be published in Medical or Law journals to write anything involving SEX.
On December 27, 2011, I decided to finally buckle down to write my first book. I have been an avid commentator and advice giver in the realm of romance (and lack thereof) in forums, my friendships, and the internet, yet I will say I have been apprehensive to welcome voyeurs into my deepest (traceable) thoughts on Romance (sex) and Communication (verbal sex) and Relationships (sex with boundaries). So, in preparation for writing about these multiple (only one) topics (different names for sex) I thought it would be a good idea (though I hadn't had an orgasm in 2 months at the time) to use celibacy as a mind-focus tool (a very BAD, good idea) and that I would write a journal to use as inspiration, archive, and container of my research and notes. This results in my first journal entry for the book at 4:00 a.m. on December 28, 20011 which follows:
December 28, 2011:: 0400
Just woke up with my shit throbbing...I need a fucking orgasm.
There is nothing more sexually frustrating than having a very...very...VERY healthy libido and not having sex, than having a ravenous sex drive AND a self-imposed restriction on sexual activity which is not based in principle, religion, or time-based goal.
